Initially hailed as a biker thug wearing leather jacket and sunglasses from the "Motor City" Detroit, Michigan, United States of America, Diesel started his WWF career as the big and tall bodyguard of Shawn Michaels, who assisted Michaels in keeping the WWF Intercontinental Championship around his waist until turning out into an impressive singles star, who destroyed his opponents with his destructive and crushing Jackknife maneuver. He quickly transitioned from The Heartbreak Kid's bodyguard into one of the top guys of the company. He won the WWF Championship in just eight seconds and he has engaged in battles with company's top guys like Bret Hart and Undertaker. As a result, Diesel and Michaels won their second WWF Tag Team Championship.
