Biography:
Having never drunk and having never been involved in sexual activities, the "Straight Edge Superstar" CM Punk believes in an alcoholic-free life. He has never used drugs and considers professional wrestling to be his drug. He has proved himself to be a perfect and successful person by adopting straight edge lifestyle. He has also proved his perfection in the ring with his amazing high-flying and technical skills that has earned him a huge fanbase in WWE and all over the world where professional wrestling is loved by the fans. Punk has also proved himself to be a great leader by leading the major group The Nexus as well as Straight Edge Society and also considers himself to be "Best in the World". He is the fastest Triple Crown Champion in WWE history and the first wrestler to win two consecutive Money in the Bank matches and is thus far, the only multiple-time Money in the Bank winner. He can also boast of being the longest reigning WWE Champion since 1988.

World Wrestling Entertainment (2006 - present)
ECW (2006 - 2008)
Using his straight edge beliefs, CM Punk debuted in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) as the first-ever alcohol-free wrestler in WWE history on August 1, 2006 edition of ECW. Punk defeated Justin Credible and became a part of WWE's ECW brand, beginning his career as a babyface. Punk quickly earned success in the Land of the Extreme by going undefeated for several months. Punk made many of the show's competitors submit to his vicious Anaconda Vice submission maneuver. On November 7 edition of ECW, Punk defeated Mike Knox to qualify for the Extreme Elimination Chamber for the ECW World Championship. Knox's girlfriend Kelly Kelly was attracted to Punk.

At Survivor Series, Punk was on D-Generation X's Team DX, consisting of The Hardys, against Rated-RKO's Team Rated-RKO, consisting of Gregory Helms, Johnny Nitro and Mike Knox, in a Survivor Series match. The entire Team DX survived the match. At December to Dismember, Punk competed against Big Show, Bobby Lashley, Test, Rob Van Dam and Hardcore Holly in an Extreme Elimination Chamber for the ECW World Championship. Punk suffered his first pinfall defeat as he was eliminated by RVD after a Five-Star Frog Splash. Lashley won the championship. At Tribute to the Troops, Punk defeated Shelton Benjamin.

Entering 2007, Punk's undefeated streak ended on January 9 edition of ECW, when he was defeated by Hardcore Holly. Punk participated in his first Royal Rumble match as the #11 entrant. He lasted twenty-seven minutes until he was eliminated by The Great Khali. Undertaker went on to win the 2007 Royal Rumble. On February 20 edition of ECW, Punk defeated Johnny Nitro to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder match and became the only wrestler from ECW to participate in that match. At WrestleMania 23, Punk competed against Mr. Kennedy, Edge, Randy Orton, King Booker, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy and Finlay in the 2007 Money in the Bank Ladder match. Kennedy won the match.

ECW's two rival factions ECW Originals and New Breed tried to recruit Punk as he had proven himself to be a future top star on the show. On April 10 edition of ECW, Punk shocked the fans by joining New Breed and turning heel. However, just two weeks later, on April 24 edition of ECW, Punk showed his true colours by costing New Breed, an Elimination match against ECW Originals by attacking New Breed leader Elijah Burke and allowing ECW Originals member Rob Van Dam to pin Burke and win the match. Punk turned babyface once again and began rivalry with Burke. At Judgment Day, Punk defeated Burke. On May 29 edition of ECW, Burke defeated Punk in an Extreme Rules match after interference by Marcus Cor Von.

Punk feuded with New Breed and became an ally of ECW Originals. At One Night Stand, Punk teamed with ECW Originals members Sandman and Tommy Dreamer to defeat New Breed members Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von and Matt Striker in a Tables match. On June 19 edition of ECW, Punk participated in a tournament for the vacated ECW World Championship. Punk defeated Marcus Cor Von in the semi-final round. At Vengeance: Night of Champions, Punk got the biggest opportunity in his WWE career at that point, as he was scheduled to compete against Chris Benoit for the championship in the final round. However, Benoit did not attend the event due to a family emergency and Punk lost to Benoit's replacement Johnny Nitro, thus making Nitro, the new champion.

Punk began a rivalry with Johnny Nitro, who converted himself into John Morrison. At The Great American Bash, Punk unsuccessfully challenged Morrison for the ECW Championship. On August 7 edition of ECW, Punk defeated Morrison in a 15 Minutes of Fame match to earn another championship match. At Saturday Night's Main Event XXXV, Punk and The Boogeyman defeated Morrison and Big Daddy V. At SummerSlam, Punk unsuccessfully challenged Morrison for the ECW Championship. On September 4 (taped September 1) edition of ECW, Punk finally defeated Morrison in a Last Chance match to win the ECW Championship, thus winning his first championship gold in WWE.

At Unforgiven, Punk successfully defended the ECW Championship against Elijah Burke. At No Mercy, Punk defeated Big Daddy V by disqualification to retain the championship after Matt Striker attacked Punk. At Cyber Sunday, Punk successfully defended the championship against The Miz. On November 6 edition of ECW, Punk successfully defended the championship against John Morrison after Miz threw his hat at Morrison. At Survivor Series, Punk defeated Morrison and Miz in a Triple Threat match to retain the championship.

After a series of successful title defenses, Punk teamed with Kane against Big Daddy V and Mark Henry in a losing effort at Armageddon after Matt Striker distracted Punk. In 2008, Punk began a rivalry with Chavo Guerrero. On January 22 edition of ECW, Punk lost the ECW Championship to Guerrero in a No Disqualification match after Edge delivered a Spear to Punk. Punk's reign ended at 135 days. At Royal Rumble, Punk participated in the 2008 Royal Rumble match as the #12 entrant. He lasted twenty-three minutes until he was eliminated by Chavo Guerrero. John Cena went on to win the Royal Rumble. 

On February 5 edition of ECW, Punk defeated Chavo Guerrero in a Gulf of Mexico match to earn an opportunity for the ECW Championship. At No Way Out, Punk unsuccessfully challenged Guerrero for the championship. On March 4 edition of ECW, Guerrero defeated Punk in a rematch to retain the championship. On March 11 edition of ECW, Punk defeated Big Daddy V to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder match. At WrestleMania XXIV, Punk defeated Chris Jericho, Montel Vontavious Porter, John Morrison, Mr. Kennedy, Shelton Benjamin and Carlito to win the 2008 Money in the Bank Ladder match. As a result, Punk won the Money in the Bank briefcase containing a contract that required the contract holder to cash in for a championship match anytime or anywhere he wanted.

On April 21 edition of Raw, Punk participated in the 2008 King of the Ring tournament. He defeated Matt Hardy in the quarter-final round and Chris Jericho in the semi-final round. In the final round, Punk lost to William Regal. On May 9 edition of SmackDown!, Punk lost to Matt Hardy in a Championship Chase qualification match. Punk reunited his tag team with Kane. At Judgment Day, Kane and Punk unsuccessfully challenged John Morrison and The Miz for the WWE Tag Team Championship. At One Night Stand, Punk competed against Big Show, John Morrison, Chavo Guerrero and Tommy Dreamer in a Singapore Cane match to determine the #1 contender for the ECW Championship. Big Show won the match. On June 10 edition of ECW, John Morrison and The Miz defeated Kane and Punk in a rematch to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship.

On June 23 edition of Raw, Punk was drafted to the Raw brand, thus ending his tenure in the Land of the Extreme.

Raw (2008 - 2009)
On June 23 edition of Raw, Punk participated in a Draft Pick Battle Royal. He was on Team Raw, consisting of Triple H, Kane, John Cena and Batista. Punk was eliminated by Big Show. Edge won the Battle Royal. The following week, on June 30 edition of Raw, Punk, as the newest member of the Raw brand, cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship, as Edge had been attacked by Batista. Punk defeated Edge to win the World Heavyweight Championship and start his career on Raw as a world champion. The Straight Edge Superstar fulfilled his dream of winning the world title.

At The Great American Bash, Punk defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Batista. Punk retained the championship by double disqualification after Kane attacked both men. The following night, on July 21 edition of Raw, Batista defeated Punk in a rematch by disqualification after John "Bradshaw" Layfield attacked Batista. As a result, Punk retained the championship. At SummerSlam, Punk successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against John "Bradshaw" Layfield.

At Unforgiven, Punk was scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight Championship in a Championship Scramble, but was attacked by Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, Randy Orton and Manu. Punk's replacement Chris Jericho won the championship. Punk's reign ended at 69 days. As a result, Punk formed an alliance with Kofi Kingston to feud with Rhodes, DiBiase and Manu. On October 26 edition of Raw, Punk and Kingston defeated Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase to win the World Tag Team Championship.

At Survivor Series, Punk was on Batista's Team Batista, consisting of Matt Hardy, Kofi Kingston and R-Truth, against Randy Orton's Team Orton, consisting of Shelton Benjamin, William Regal, Mark Henry and Cody Rhodes, in a Survivor Series match. Team Orton won. Orton and Rhodes survived the match. Punk participated in a tournament to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Punk defeated Snitsky in the quarter-final round on November 24 edition of Raw and John Morrison in the semi-final round on December 8 edition of Raw.

At December 13 house show, Punk and Kofi Kingston lost the World Tag Team Championship to John Morrison and The Miz. Punk and Kingston's reign ended at 47 days. The following night at Armageddon, Punk defeated Rey Mysterio in the final of the WWE Intercontinental Championship to become the #1 contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. At Tribute to the Troops, Jeff Hardy, Punk and R-Truth defeated John "Bradshaw" Layfield, John Morrison and The Miz in a six-man tag team match. On December 22 edition of Raw, Punk lost to Chris Jericho in a Race to the Rumble qualification match.

On January 19, 2009 edition of Raw, Punk defeated William Regal in a No Disqualification match to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship in his home state of Illinois, earning a huge crowd support and a positive fan reaction. At Royal Rumble, Punk participated in the 2009 Royal Rumble match as the #18 entrant. He lasted twenty-two minutes until he was eliminated by Big Show. Randy Orton went on to win the Royal Rumble. On January 26 edition of Raw, Punk lost to Chris Jericho in the Raw Elimination Chamber qualification match.

On February 23 edition of Raw, Punk defeated John Morrison and The Miz in a Triple Threat match to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder match. On March 9 edition of Raw, Punk lost the WWE Intercontinental Championship to John "Bradshaw" Layfield, Punk's reign ended at 49 days. On March 30 edition of Raw, Punk participated in a Battle Royal. He was eliminated by Kane for the win.

At WrestleMania XXV, Punk defeated Montel Vontavious Porter, Kane, Shelton Benjamin, Christian, Mark Henry, Kofi Kingston and Finlay to win the 2009 Money in the Bank Ladder match, thus becoming the first wrestler to win the Money in the Bank Ladder match multiple times as well as the first wrestler to win the match twice in a row. On April 13 edition of Raw, Punk was drafted to the SmackDown! brand.

SmackDown! (2009 - 2010)
After being drafted to the SmackDown! brand, Punk began a rivalry with Kane, which culminated in a match between the two at Backlash, which Kane won. Similarly to the previous year, Punk tried to cash in his Money in the Bank contract against Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship on numerous occasions but Umaga destroyed Punk's opportunities by attacking him on each occasion. This resulted in a rivalry between Punk and Umaga. At Judgment Day, Umaga defeated Punk. On June 5 edition of SmackDown!, Punk defeated Umaga. At Extreme Rules, Punk defeated Umaga in a Samoan Strap match. Later that night, Punk cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against Jeff Hardy for the World Heavyweight Championship, as Hardy had just defeated Edge for the championship. Punk defeated Hardy to win his second World Heavyweight Championship.

Punk turned heel as the fans did not support his decision of cashing in his Money in the Bank contract against Jeff Hardy, who was loved by the fans. As a result, Punk began a rivalry with Hardy. At The Bash, Punk retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Hardy through intentional disqualification. Punk kicked the referee in the back and claimed to have suffered an eye injury but Hardy revealed that Punk was faking the injury to keep his championship. At Night of Champions, Punk lost the championship to Hardy. Punk's reign ended at 49 days. During this time, Punk started preaching his straight edge lifestyle to the fans and started proving himself to be better than all the audience as they were drug addicts and followed Hardy, a drug addict and a failure. Punk began referring himself to as the only Straight Edge World Heavyweight Champion in history.

On August 7 edition of SmackDown!, Punk unsuccessfully challenged Jeff Hardy for the World Heavyweight Championship after Jeff's brother Matt Hardy served as the Special Guest Enforcer and helped Jeff in winning the match. At SummerSlam, Punk defeated Jeff Hardy in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match to win his third World Heavyweight Championship. On August 28 edition of SmackDown!, Punk successfully defended the championship against Hardy in a Loser Leaves WWE Steel Cage match. As a result, Hardy was forced to leave WWE.

Punk began his next rivalry with Undertaker. At Breaking Point, Punk successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Undertaker in a Submission match when the SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long reversed the original decision of Undertaker's victory by banning Undertaker's Hell Gate submission hold and restarting the match, where Punk applied his Anaconda Vice submission maneuver and Long ordered the referee to ring the bell without Undertaker tapping out. At Hell in a Cell, Punk lost the championship to Undertaker. Punk's reign ended at 42 days. On October 23 edition of SmackDown!, Punk unsuccessfully challenged Undertaker for the championship in a Submission match. At Bragging Rights, Punk competed against Undertaker, Batista and Rey Mysterio in a Fatal Four-Way match for the championship. Undertaker retained the championship.

At Survivor Series, Punk was on Randy Orton's Team Orton, consisting of William Regal and The Legacy, against Kofi Kingston's Team Kofi, consisting of Christian, Montel Vontavious Porter, Mark Henry and R-Truth, in a Survivor Series match. Team Kofi won. Kingston survived the match. Punk continued to preach his straight edge lifestyle to the WWE Universe, something which he had started during his rivalry with Jeff Hardy. He converted the mentally disturbed Festus into his disciple Luke Gallows and the two formed a group called Straight Edge Society. Punk kept a long beard and increased the hair on his chest, and began preaching his straight edge beliefs. He converted the members of WWE Universe into his disciples by shaving them bald. Punk became the leader of Straight Edge Society.

At Tribute to the Troops, Punk teamed with Carlito in a losing effort against Rey Mysterio and Mark Henry. On January 5, 2010 edition of ECW, Punk defeated Mark Henry to qualify for the ECW Homecoming Battle Royal with assistance by Luke Gallows. The following week, on January 12 edition of ECW, Punk participated in the ECW Homecoming Battle Royal to determine the #1 contender for the ECW Championship. Punk was eliminated by the eventual winner Ezekiel Jackson. On January 22 edition of SmackDown!, Punk converted a female fan Serena into his disciple by shaving her bald and adding her as the newest member of Straight Edge Society with Luke Gallows and himself. 

At Royal Rumble, Punk participated in the 2010 Royal Rumble match as the #3 entrant. He lasted ten minutes until he was eliminated by Triple H. Edge went on to win the Royal Rumble. On February 5 edition of SmackDown!, Punk defeated Batista by count-out to qualify for the SmackDown! Elimination Chamber. At Elimination Chamber, Punk competed against Undertaker, Chris Jericho, John Morrison, Rey Mysterio and R-Truth in the SmackDown! Elimination Chamber for the World Heavyweight Championship. Punk was eliminated by Mysterio. Jericho won the championship.

Due to being eliminated by Rey Mysterio from the Elimination Chamber, Punk began a rivalry with Mysterio. WWE started a new reality television show WWE NXT, where Punk became the WWE Pro for NXT Rookie Darren Young. At WrestleMania XXVI, Punk lost to Rey Mysterio after colliding with manager Luke Gallows. At Extreme Rules, Punk defeated Mysterio in a Hair match after a masked man attacked Mysterio. At Over the Limit, Mysterio defeated Punk in a S.E.S. Pledge vs. Hair match. As a result, Mysterio was freed from joining Punk's group Straight Edge Society and Punk had to be shaved bald. Punk tried to save himself through the help of Straight Edge Society and the mysterious masked man but Kane fought them all and Punk was shaved bald by Mysterio.

On May 28 edition of SmackDown!, Punk debuted a new look as he wore a mask on his face to hide his bald head. Under the new masked look, Punk defeated Kane to qualify for a Fatal Four-Way match for the World Heavyweight Championship. At Fatal 4-Way, Punk competed against Jack Swagger, Rey Mysterio and Big Show in a Fatal Four-Way match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Mysterio won the championship. Kane accused Punk of attacking Undertaker but Serena proved Punk's innocence by showing a video where Punk and Luke Gallows protected Serena from a guy who was trying to taunt her at the night when Undertaker was in a vegetative state. 

On July 16 edition of SmackDown!, Punk was unmasked by Big Show, thus revealing his bald head. Punk finally accepted his baldness and stopped using his mask. As a result, Straight Edge Society began a rivalry with Big Show. Big Show revealed the masked ally of Straight Edge Society to be Joey Mercury, who became the newest member of Straight Edge Society. At SummerSlam, Big Show defeated Straight Edge Society in a Handicap match. On August 20, Serena left WWE, thus removing her from Straight Edge Society. At Night of Champions, Punk lost to Big Show. Joey Mercury was injured and Punk kicked Luke Gallows out of Straight Edge Society. On October 11 edition of Raw, Punk was traded to the Raw brand in exchange of Edge, who had been drafted to the SmackDown! brand, a week ago.

Raw (2010 - present)
On October 11 edition of Raw, Punk was traded to the Raw brand as the newest member of the Raw roster. He defeated Evan Bourne to qualify for Team Raw at Bragging Rights. The following week, on October 18 edition of Raw, Punk participated in a Battle Royal. He was eliminated by the eventual winner Edge. Big Show and Edge won the Battle Royal. At Bragging Rights, Punk was on The Miz's Team Raw, consisting of Sheamus, John Morrison, Ezekiel Jackson, Santino Marella and R-Truth, against Big Show's Team SmackDown!, consisting of Edge, Rey Mysterio, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Tyler Reks and Alberto Del Rio in an Elimination match. Team SmackDown! won. Edge and Mysterio survived the match.

On November 22 edition of Raw, Punk became a member of the Raw commentary team as he joined Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler as a color commentator. After providing commentary for a month, Punk attacked John Cena with a chair on December 20 edition of Raw. The following week, on December 27 edition of Raw, Punk shocked the WWE Universe by replacing Wade Barrett as the new leader of The Nexus. In 2011, Punk kicked Barrett out of the group. 

On January 10 edition of Raw, Punk ordered all the members of The Nexus to make sacrifices to be officially initiated into the group. David Otunga, Michael McGillicutty and Husky Harris went through their initiations while Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater refused to take part and left Nexus. With the remaining members, Punk rechristened the group as New Nexus. Mason Ryan was added as the group's newest member. New Nexus mainly feuded with The Corre, a group formed by former Nexus members on SmackDown!. 

At Royal Rumble, New Nexus cost Randy Orton, an opportunity for the WWE Championship. Later that night, Punk participated in the 2011 Royal Rumble match as the #1 entrant. He lasted thirty-five minutes until he was eliminated by John Cena. Alberto Del Rio went on to win the Royal Rumble. The following night, on January 31 edition of Raw, Punk participated in the Raw Rumble as the #4 entrant to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Championship. Punk lasted three minutes until he was eliminated by Randy Orton. At Elimination Chamber, Punk competed against John Cena, John Morrison, Sheamus, Randy Orton and R-Truth in the Raw Elimination Chamber to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Championship. Cena won the match by eliminating Punk in the end.

Punk began a rivalry with Randy Orton as he had cost him an opportunity for the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble. Punk said that he took his revenge from Orton for costing him the World Heavyweight Championship at Unforgiven back in 2008. At WrestleMania XXVII, Orton defeated Punk. On April 18 edition of Raw, Orton defeated Punk in a rematch. At Extreme Rules, Orton defeated Punk in a Last Man Standing match to end the rivalry. Punk formed a tag team with his New Nexus teammate Mason Ryan and began a rivalry with Kane and Big Show. At Over the Limit, Punk and Ryan unsuccessfully challenged Kane and Big Show for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Punk began his next rivalry with Rey Mysterio, which culminated in a match between the two at Capitol Punishment, which Punk won. The following night, on June 20 edition of Raw, Punk defeated Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio in a Triple Threat match to become the #1 contender for the WWE Championship. After winning the championship, Punk made a shocking announcement that his WWE contract would end at Money in the Bank PPV, where he would win the WWE Championship and leave the company with the championship. Punk began voicing against the WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon and made many comments about the backstage issues in WWE that went against McMahon. Punk earned fan support and turned babyface.

At Money in the Bank, Punk defeated John Cena to win the WWE Championship in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois, after Cena prevented Mr. McMahon and John Laurinaitis from screwing Punk. After the match, the hometown hero Punk left WWE with the championship. On July 25 edition of Raw, Punk returned to WWE with a new entrance theme, right after Cena won the championship by defeating Rey Mysterio. Cena and Punk confronted each other with their respective WWE Championship belts. Now referring himself as the best wrestler in the world, Punk had signed a new contract with WWE and was recognized as the WWE Champion with John Cena.

At SummerSlam, Punk defeated John Cena to become the Undisputed WWE Champion, with Triple H as the Special Guest Referee. Right after the match, Punk was attacked by Kevin Nash, leading to Alberto Del Rio cashing in his Money in the Bank contract for a championship match against Punk. Punk lost the championship to ADR. Punk's reign ended at 28 days. Punk considered himself to be a conspiracy victim and blamed Triple H and Kevin Nash for conspiring together to cost Punk, the WWE Championship. Punk made personal comments against Triple H, which resulted in a rivalry between the two. At Night of Champions, Punk lost to Triple H in a No Disqualification match after Awesome Truth and Kevin Nash interfered in the match and attacked both men.

At Hell in a Cell, Punk competed against John Cena and Alberto Del Rio in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship. ADR won the championship. On October 14 edition of SmackDown!, Punk participated in a Battle Royal, with the winner earning a championship match of his choice. He was eliminated by The Miz. Randy Orton won the Battle Royal. Punk ended his rivalry with Triple H and formed an alliance with him. At Vengeance, Triple H and Punk lost to Awesome Truth after Kevin Nash attacked Triple H. Punk began voicing against the Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis and accused Laurinaitis of abusing his power.

At Survivor Series, Punk defeated Alberto Del Rio to win his second WWE Championship. On November 28 edition of Raw, Punk successfully defended the championship against ADR in a rematch after ADR's personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez's interference backfired. At Tribute to the Troops, Punk, Big Show and John Cena defeated Mark Henry, The Miz and Alberto Del Rio. At TLC, Punk successfully defended the WWE Championship against Alberto Del Rio and The Miz in a Triple Threat Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.

Entering 2012, Punk successfully defended the WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler at Royal Rumble in a match, with the Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis as the Special Guest Referee. At Elimination Chamber, Punk successfully defended the championship against The Miz, Chris Jericho, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth in the Raw Elimination Chamber. At WrestleMania XXVIII, Punk successfully defended the championship against Chris Jericho. At Extreme Rules, Punk successfully defended the championship against Jericho in a Chicago Street Fight.

Punk continued his successful championship reign by successfully defending the WWE Championship against Daniel Bryan at Over the Limit. At No Way Out, Punk successfully defended the championship against Kane and Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat match after assistance by AJ, who distracted Kane, allowing Punk to pin him for the victory.

On July 3 edition of SmackDown!, Punk participated in a Battle Royal to determine the Interim SmackDown! General Manager. He was eliminated by Daniel Bryan. Zack Ryder won the Battle Royal. At Money in the Bank, Punk defeated Daniel Bryan to retain the WWE Championship, with AJ as the special guest referee. On July 23 edition of Raw, Punk defended the championship against John Cena. Cena won by disqualification when Big Show attacked Cena. As a result, Punk retained the championship. After the match, Punk turned heel by letting Show attack Cena and delivered a Go 2 Sleep to The Rock, who came to Cena's rescue. Punk started insulting the WWE Universe and began claiming himself to be the best champion in WWE's history.

At SummerSlam, Punk successfully defended the WWE Championship against John Cena and Big Show in a Triple Threat match. Punk hired Paul Heyman as his new manager since Heyman was Atthe guy who introduced Punk in WWE. At Night of Champions, Punk retained the championship against John Cena as the match ended in a double pinfall. At Hell in a Cell, Punk successfully defended the championship against Ryback after the referee Brad Maddox delivered a Low Blow to Ryback. At Survivor Series, Punk defeated John Cena and Ryback in a Triple Threat match to retain the championship after NXT Rookies Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns attacked Cena and Ryback. 

Punk was accused to be an ally of the three NXT Rookies, who became known as The Shield, but Punk denied these accusations. Entering 2013, Punk lost the WWE Championship to The Rock at Royal Rumble. Punk had initially retained the championship after Shield attacked Rock but the match was restarted, which resulted in Rock defeating Punk. Punk's reign ended at 434 days. As a result, he became the fifth longest reigning WWE Champion of all time and the longest reigning champion in 25 years.

At Elimination Chamber, Punk unsuccessfully challenged The Rock for the WWE Championship. On March 4 edition of Raw, Punk defeated Randy Orton, Big Show and Sheamus in a Fatal Four-Way match to qualify for an opportunity to end Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania. At WrestleMania 29, Punk lost to Undertaker, thus failing to end the streak. After repeated failures over losing the championship and failing to end the streak, Punk got inactive for two months. 

At Payback, Punk returned to his hometown of Chicago and defeated Chris Jericho. Punk turned babyface as he got strong support from his hometown fans. He continued his allegiance with Paul Heyman but began competing as a good guy. At Money in the Bank, Punk competed against Randy Orton, Rob Van Dam, Sheamus, Christian and Daniel Bryan in the 2013 WWE Championship Money in the Bank Ladder match. Orton won the match after Paul Heyman turned on Punk by attacking him with the help of Curtis Axel. As a result, Punk began feuding with Heyman and his clients.

Punk began a rivalry with Paul Heyman's client Brock Lesnar, which culminated in a No Disqualification match between the two at SummerSlam, which Lesnar won after Heyman distracted Punk.
At Night of Champions, Punk lost to Curtis Axel and Paul Heyman in a No Disqualification Handicap Elimination match after Ryback drove Punk through a table. Heyman survived the match. As a result, Punk began a rivalry with Ryback. At Battleground, Punk defeated Ryback. At Hell in a Cell, Punk defeated Ryback and Paul Heyman in a Handicap Hell in a Cell match. The following night, on October 28 edition of Raw, Punk defeated Ryback to end the rivalry.

Biography:
Eddie Guerrero was one of the best professional wrestlers of the world. A high-flyer and a technical wrestler, Guerrero was very talented but despite his talents, he used to "lie, cheat and steal" to win his matches. He often used to fool the referee by hitting his opponent with a chair and handing it to opponent and lying on the mat, pretending to be hit with it, making the referee believe that the opponent hit him with the chair. Guerrero was the top luchador to step into a WWE ring. Known as the "Latino Heat", the second-generation wrestler from the Guerrero family, established a name for himself as well as bringing the fame for the Guerrero family throughout the world. Below are the details of his WWE career.

World Wrestling Federation / Entertainment (2000 - 2005)
Eddie Guerrero had previously wrestled in Mexico and Japan as well as Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Sick and tired of being pushed back in WCW, Guerrero left WCW with Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn and the four joined World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 2000. On January 31 edition of Raw is War, Benoit, Guerrero, Malenko and Saturn debuted in WWF as The Radicalz. Invited by the WWF Commissioner Mick Foley, they made an impact in their debut by attacking New Age Outlaws, thus beginning their WWF careers as heels.

On February 3 edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero competed in his first WWF match, teaming with Perry Saturn and unsuccessfully challenging New Age Outlaws for the WWF Tag Team Championship. At WrestleMania 2000, Guerrero made his WWF pay-per-view debut in a six-man tag team match, as he, Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn were defeated by Chyna and Too Cool. The following night, on April 3 edition of Raw is War, Guerrero defeated Chris Jericho to win the WWF European Championship, with assistance from Chyna, who turned on Jericho. Guerrero began referring himself to as "Latino Heat" and Chyna stated that she turned on Jericho because she could not resist his Latino Heat. Guerrero referred to Chyna as his "Mamacita".

Guerrero successfully defended the WWF European Championship against Essa Rios at Backlash and on May 1 edition of Raw is War. At Insurrextion, Guerrero successfully defended the championship against Chris Jericho. At Judgment Day, Guerrero successfully defended the championship against Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn in a Triple Threat match. Guerrero and Chyna started to become popular with the fans and turned into babyfaces but Guerrero still showed tactics of a heel as he cheated to win his matches. 

On June 8 edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero defeated Matt Hardy to qualify for the 2000 King of the Ring tournament. On June 19 edition of Raw is War, Guerrero defeated Chyna in the first round of the tournament. At King of the Ring, Guerrero lost to Val Venis in the quarter-final round. At Fully Loaded, Guerrero lost the WWF Intercontinental Championship to Perry Saturn after Saturn's valet Terri Runnels attacked Guerrero. Guerrero's reign ended at 111 days. At SummerSlam, Chyna and Guerrero defeated Val Venis and Trish Stratus for Venis' WWF Intercontinental Championship. Chyna pinned Stratus for the championship. 

On September 4 edition of Raw is War, Guerrero defeated Chyna and Kurt Angle in a Triple Threat match to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Guerrero accidentally pinned Chyna in an attempt to revive her as she had been knocked out by Angle. Guerrero turned into heel as he started cheating to retain his championship. He proposed to Chyna, which she accepted as she was angry on Guerrero defeating her for the championship. Chyna was posing for the Playboy magazine and Guerrero tried to stop it by attempting to invade the Playboy Mansion. 

At Unforgiven, Guerrero successfully defended the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Rikishi, as Rikishi was disqualified for attacking Chyna. On October 9 edition of Raw is War, Chyna abandoned Guerrero during a tag team match when she saw him showering with two of The Godfather's hoes on GTV. Guerrero and Chyna's engagement was called off and Guerrero became a rival of Chyna and D-Generation X, consisting of Billy Gunn, Road Dogg and K-Kwik. He reformed The Radicalz with Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn. At Survivor Series, Benoit's Radicalz defeated DX in a Survivor Series match. Benoit and Saturn survived the match. On November 23 (taped November 21) edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero lost the WWF Intercontinental Championship to Billy Gunn. Guerrero's reign ended at 78 days.

At Rebellion, Dean Malenko and Guerrero lost to Billy Gunn and Chyna. With the exception of Chris Benoit, The Radicalz began a rivalry with Team Xtreme, which culminated in an Elimination match between the two teams at Armageddon, which Radicalz won. Dean Malenko survived the match. In 2001, Guerrero became the leader of Radicalz and Benoit was kicked out of the group for showing nice attitude to the fans. At No Way Out, Guerrero competed against Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit and X-Pac in a Fatal Four-Way match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Jericho retained the championship.

At WrestleMania X-Seven, Guerrero defeated Test to win his second WWF European Championship, with help from Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn. On April 26 (taped April 24) edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero lost the championship to Matt Hardy, after Lita attacked Guerrero. Guerrero's reign ended at 23 days. At Backlash, Guerrero competed against Hardy and Christian in a Triple Threat match for the championship. Hardy retained the championship. At Insurrextion, Guerrero defeated Grand Master Sexay. Guerrero turned into a babyface by forming an alliance with Hardy Boyz to pursue the affection of Lita. Guerrero left The Radicalz and began feuding with Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn until he left WWF.

In March 2002,
WWF roster was divided into two brands, Raw and SmackDown!, the top two television programs of WWF. After competing in numerous independent promotions including Ring of Honor (ROH) and International Wrestling Association: Mid-South (IWA), Guerrero made a surprise return to WWF television on April 1 edition of Raw. He attacked Rob Van Dam and began a rivalry with RVD, thus joining the Raw brand.

Raw (2002)
At Backlash, Guerrero competed in his first match as part of the Raw roster, defeating Rob Van Dam to win his second WWF Intercontinental Championship. At Insurrextion, Guerrero retained the championship against RVD through intentional disqualification by shoving the referee. On May 6 edition of Raw, WWF was renamed World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Guerrero's championship was renamed WWE Intercontinental Championship. At Judgment Day, Guerrero defeated RVD to retain the championship. On May 27 edition of Raw, Guerrero lost the championship back to RVD in a Ladder match. Guerrero's reign ended at 36 days. On June 10 edition of Raw, RVD defeated Guerrero to qualify for the 2002 King of the Ring tournament to end the rivalry.

Guerrero formed a tag team with Chris Benoit and began a rivalry with Ric Flair, which culminated in a match between the two at King of the Ring, which Flair won after interference by Bubba Ray Dudley. As a result, Benoit and Guerrero began feuding with Dudley Boyz, losing to them in an Elimination Tables match at Vengeance. On August 1 edition of SmackDown!, Benoit and Guerrero joined the SmackDown! brand.

SmackDown! (2002 - 2005)
On August 1 edition of SmackDown!, Chris Benoit and Guerrero competed in their first match as part of the SmackDown! roster, losing to The Rock and Edge in a tag team match. Following their unsuccessful debut, Benoit and Guerrero stopped teaming together and Eddie Guerrero formed a tag team with his nephew Chavo Guerrero called Los Guerreros. Eddie began a rivalry with Edge. At SummerSlam, Edge defeated Guerrero. On August 29 edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero defeated Edge to advance in a tournament to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Undisputed Championship but lost to Rikishi later that night. At Unforgiven, Guerrero defeated Edge. On September 26 edition of SmackDown!, Edge defeated Guerrero in a No Disqualification match, during which Guerrero's name was chanted by the fans.

Los Guerreros participated in a tournament for the newly created WWE Tag Team Championship. Los Guerreros defeated Rikishi and Mark Henry in the quarter-final round on October 3 edition of SmackDown!, and lost to eventual winners Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit in the semi-final round on October 17 edition of SmackDown!. At Rebellion, Los Guerreros unsuccessfully challenged Angle and Benoit for the championship. At Survivor Series, Los Guerreros defeated Edge and Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit in a Triangle Elimination match to win the WWE Tag Team Championship.

On December 5 edition of SmackDown!, Eddie Guerrero competed against Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit and Edge in a Fatal Four-Way Elimination match to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Championship at Armageddon. Guerrero was eliminated by Benoit. Angle won the match. As a result, Guerrero began a rivalry with Benoit, which culminated in a match between the two at Armageddon, which Benoit won. Los Guerreros established themselves as the top tag team on SmackDown!.


In 2003, Los Guerreros turned into babyfaces and Eddie had a new haircut. At Royal Rumble, Eddie participated in his first Royal Rumble match as the #16 entrant. He lasted sixteen minutes until he was eliminated by Booker T. Brock Lesnar went on to win the 2003 Royal Rumble. On February 6 (taped February 4) edition of SmackDown!, Los Guerreros lost the WWE Tag Team Championship to Team Angle. Los Guerreros' reign ended at 79 days. At WrestleMania XIX, Los Guerreros competed against Team Angle and Chris Benoit and Rhyno in a Triple Threat match for the championship. Team Angle retained the championship.

Although Los Guerreros remained babyfaces, they established themselves as cheaters as they used to cheat to win their matches but the fans liked their attitude, thus giving them crowd support. On April 3 edition of SmackDown!, Eddie participated in the #1 Contender's Tournament to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Championship at Backlash. He lost to John Cena in the quarter-final round. At Backlash, Los Guerreros unsuccessfully challenged Team Angle for the WWE Tag Team Championship. After the match, Los Guerreros stole the championship belts. On May 1 edition of SmackDown!, Los Guerreros returned the belts to Team Angle but stole Kurt Angle's Olympic gold medals. Chavo Guerrero suffered an injury and was out of action.

At Judgment Day, Eddie Guerrero and Tajiri to defeat Team Angle in a Ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Guerrero and Tajiri used Guerrero's "lie, cheat and steal" policy to retain their championship against SmackDown's top tag teams. On July 3 (taped July 1) edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero and Tajiri lost the championship to World's Greatest Tag Team. Guerrero and Tajiri's reign ended at 44 days. After losing the championship, Guerrero turned on Tajiri by slamming him through the windshield of his lowrider. 

Guerrero turned into a heel and competed in a tournament for the newly created WWE United States Championship. Guerrero defeated Ultimo Dragon in the quarter-final round on July 10 edition of SmackDown!, Billy Gunn in the semi-final round on July 17 edition of SmackDown!, and Chris Benoit in the final round after interference by Rhyno to win the championship at Vengeance, thus becoming the first-ever WWE United States Champion. At SummerSlam, Guerrero successfully defended the championship against Chris Benoit, Rhyno and Tajiri in a Fatal Four-Way match.

In the midst of his WWE United States Championship reign, Guerrero turned into a babyface as his nephew Chavo Guerrero returned and the two formed Los Guerreros. On September 18 (taped September 16) edition of SmackDown!, Los Guerreros defeated World's Greatest Tag Team to win their second WWE Tag Team Championship. Eddie started to become a popular wrestler in WWE with his success as a double champion. At No Mercy, Guerrero lost the WWE United States Championship to Big Show. Guerrero's reign ended at 84 days. On October 23 (taped October 21) edition of SmackDown!, Los Guerreros lost the WWE Tag Team Championship to Basham Brothers. Los Guerreros' reign ended at 35 days.

At Survivor Series, Los Guerreros unsuccessfully challenged Basham Brothers for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Los Guerreros started to breakup as Chavo Guerrero started feeling jealous of the success and popularity his uncle had achieved. At Tribute to the Troops, Eddie defeated Chris Benoit. In 2004, Los Guerreros finally broke up when Chavo and his father Chavo Guerrero, Sr., turned on Eddie. Enraged by the betrayal of his nephew and elder brother, Eddie began a rivalry with his nephew Chavo, which culminated in a match between the two at Royal Rumble, which Eddie won.

Now on his way out, Guerrero achieved more success as singles competitor. On January 29 edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero entered the SmackDown! Royal Rumble as the #13 entrant. He last eliminated Kurt Angle to win the SmackDown! Royal Rumble and became the #1 contender for the WWE Championship. At No Way Out, Guerrero defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship, after Goldberg attacked Lesnar. Guerrero established himself as a main eventer as he fulfilled his dream of getting the top prize of sports entertainment after hardwork of 17 years. He became the first luchador to win the world championship.

At WrestleMania XX, Guerrero successfully defended the WWE Championship against Kurt Angle by lying, cheating and stealing. At Judgment Day, Guerrero retained the championship against John "Bradshaw" Layfield through intentional disqualification. At The Great American Bash, Guerrero lost the championship to JBL in a Texas Bullrope match, as the original decision of Guerrero's victory was reversed by the SmackDown! General Manager Kurt Angle. Guerrero's reign ended at 133 days. 

Guerrero began a rivalry with Kurt Angle. At SummerSlam, Angle defeated Guerrero. On September 2 edition of SmackDown!, Angle defeated Guerrero in a Two out of three falls match after assistance by Luther Reigns. On September 9 edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero and Angle fought to a no contest in a Lumberjack match, as Big Show attacked both men and the lumberjacks around the ring. At No Mercy, Guerrero defeated Luther Reigns. On October 14 edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero participated in a Battle Royal to determine the #1 contender for the WWE United States Championship. He was eliminated by Luther Reigns. Rey Mysterio won the Battle Royal. Later that night, Guerrero defeated Reigns by disqualification as Mark Jindrak attacked Guerrero.

At Survivor Series, Guerrero was the captain of Team Guerrero, consisting of Big Show, Rob Van Dam and John Cena, against Kurt Angle's Team Angle, consisting of Carlito Caribbean Cool, Mark Jindrak and Luther Reigns in a Survivor Series match. Team Guerrero won. Guerrero, Big Show and Cena survived the match. At Armageddon, Guerrero competed against John "Bradshaw" Layfield, Undertaker and Booker T in a Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE Championship. JBL retained the championship after interference by Heidenreich. At Tribute to the Troops, Guerrero and Rey Mysterio defeated Kurt Angle and Luther Reigns.

Entering 2005, Guerrero participated in the 2005 Royal Rumble match as the #1 entrant. He lasted twenty-eight minutes until he was eliminated by Edge. Batista went on to win the Royal Rumble. Following the event, Guerrero participated in a tournament to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Championship at No Way Out. On February 3 edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero lost to Booker T in the quarter-final round. At No Way Out, Guerrero teamed with Rey Mysterio to defeat Basham Brothers to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. Guerrero and Mysterio were best friends but their partnership did not work on as Chavo Guerrero planted seeds of dissension between the two by persuading Eddie to wrestle Mysterio. At WrestleMania 21, Eddie Guerrero lost to Mysterio.

On April 21 (taped April 18) edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero and Rey Mysterio lost the WWE Tag Team Championship to MNM. Guerrero and Mysterio's reign ended at 57 days. On April 28 edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero abandoned Mysterio in a rematch against MNM for the championship. This brought a change in the friendly Latino Heat, making him a more vicious and nasty competitor. He turned heel and began a rivalry with Mysterio. At Judgment Day, Guerrero lost to Mysterio by disqualification. On May 26 edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero participated in a Win At ECW One Night Stand, Guerrero represented WWE against ECW and ended up losing to Chris Benoit.

On June 23 edition of SmackDown!, Rey Mysterio defeated Guerrero. Guerrero threatened to reveal a secret involving Mysterio's son Dominick. At The Great American Bash, Mysterio defeated Guerrero, which stipulated that Guerrero could not tell the secret due to losing. However, Guerrero secretly told Dominick that he was his real father, not Mysterio, and told Dominick that he had given him to Mysterio for adoption, thus beginning a conflict between Mysterio and his son. At SummerSlam, Mysterio defeated Guerrero in a Ladder match to win the custody of Dominick after Guerrero's wife Vickie Guerrero prevented him from winning the match. On September 9 edition of SmackDown!, the emotional rivalry was over once and for all as Guerrero defeated Mysterio in a Steel Cage match.

At No Mercy, Guerrero unsuccessfully challenged Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Batista showed respect to his opponent as it was Guerrero's 38th birthday. The two shook hands and Guerrero turned babyface. He revealed that he had just lost himself since losing the WWE Championship back in 2004. Guerrero formed an alliance with Batista. On November 11 edition of SmackDown!, Guerrero defeated Mr. Kennedy by disqualification by using his "lie, cheat and steal" policy to qualify for Team SmackDown! at Survivor Series. However, Guerrero was unable to compete as he tragically and unexpectedly died on November 13, 2005. The 38-year old had died in his hotel room. His death marked the major loss of WWE as the company lost its biggest star.

Tribute shows were held to the fallen Latino Heat in November 2005 and several promotions paid tribute to him. His career was cut short but the career he spent, was probably the best WWE career anyone could think of. In 2006, WWE started Wellness Policy to prevent wrestlers from using drugs as Guerrero's death was reported to be resulting from heart failure. His drug abuse was considered to be the reason of his heart failure. Guerrero was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 1, 2006 by Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero. Eddie's wife Vickie Guerrero accepted the honour.
