World Wrestling Federation / Entertainment (1999 - 2002)
After training in Power Pro Wrestling (PPW), the developmental territory of World Wrestling Federation (WWF), Matt Bloom debuted on WWF television on April 11, 1999 edition of Sunday Night Heat as a fan, who interfered in a match between Big Boss Man and Droz, attacking Boss Man to rescue Droz. Bloom began competing under the ring name Prince Albert, a tattooist enforcer of Droz. Albert established himself as a babyface and began a tag team with Droz and began competing in the tag team division. On April 25 edition of Sunday Night Heat, Albert competed in his first WWF match, teaming with Droz to defeat Too Much. On May 8 edition of Shotgun, Albert competed in his first singles match, losing to Meat.

Droz and Albert feuded with teams like Too Much, D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry and The Godfather and Val Venis. On July 11 edition of Sunday Night Heat, Albert received his first championship match as he and Droz competed against Hardy Boyz for the WWF Tag Team Championship. Hardy Boyz retained the championship through disqualification after The Godfather and Val Venis attacked Droz. At SummerSlam, Albert made his pay-per-view debut as he and Droz participated in a Tag Team Turmoil to determine the #1 contenders for the WWF Tag Team Championship. They were eliminated by Edge and Christian. The Acolytes won the match.

On September 2 edition of SmackDown!, Droz and Albert participated in a Tag Team Elimination match. They were eliminated by Holly Cousins. The match ended in a no contest. Droz retired after suffering an injury, forcing Albert to begin his career as a singles competitor. Albert turned heel by feuding with Big Show and becoming Big Boss Man's enforcer. At Survivor Series, Big Boss Man, Mideon, Viscera and Albert competed against Big Show in a Survivor Series match. Albert was eliminated by Show. Show won and survived the match.

Albert helped Big Boss Man in winning matches and eventually helped him in becoming the #1 contender to the WWF Championship, though Boss Man failed to win the championship. Entering 2000, Albert participated in his first Royal Rumble match as the #22 entrant at Royal Rumble. He lasted eleven minutes until he was eliminated by Kane. The Rock won the 2000 Royal Rumble. On March 19 edition of Sunday Night Heat, Albert was scouted by Trish Stratus as her client. Stratus formed a tag team of Test and Albert called T & A. At WrestleMania 2000, Albert made his WrestleMania debut as T & A defeated Head Cheese.

T & A started establishing itself as a rising tag team in the tag team division by beginning a rivalry with Dudley Boyz. At Backlash, T & A defeated Dudley Boyz after a distraction by Trish Stratus. The following night, on May 1 edition of Raw is War, T & A defeated Dudley Boyz in a rematch after interference by Edge and Christian. The following week, on May 8 edition of Raw is War, Dudley Boyz defeated Gerald Brisco and T & A in a Handicap Tables match. On May 11 edition of SmackDown!, T & A defeated Dudley Boyz after assistance by Shane McMahon, to end the rivalry.

At Rebellion, T & A competed against Dudley Boyz and Edge and Christian in a Tables Elimination match. Dudley Boyz won.

After the team failed in capturing the WWF Tag Team Championship, Albert turned on Test, thus ending T & A. As a result, Albert and Trish Stratus feuded with Test. Albert formed a group with X-Pac and Justin Credible called X-Factor, considering themselves to be extraordinary wrestlers. X-Pac was the leader of the group. During the summer of 2001, World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) invaded WWF as WWF had bought both promotions and the wrestlers of WCW and ECW decided to take over WWF. WCW and ECW formed a group called The Alliance. Albert remained loyal to WWF. At Invasion, Albert, Big Show and Billy Gunn represented WWF against Alliance members Hugh Morrus, Chris Kanyon and Shawn Stasiak in a losing effort. On July 23 edition of Raw is War, Albert lost the WWF Intercontinental Championship to Lance Storm after Hugh Morrus attacked Albert with the championship belt. Albert's reign ended at 27 days.

At SummerSlam, Albert helped X-Pac in defeating Tajiri to win the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship and the WCW Cruiserweight Championship after suffering Tajiri's Red Mist and distracting him enough for X-Pac to beat him. X-Pac suffered an injury, causing an end to X-Factor. Albert formed a tag team with Scotty 2 Hotty and turned babyface. At Survivor Series, Albert participated in an Immunity Battle Royal, with the winner remaining on the roster regardless of either WWF or The Alliance won. Albert was eliminated by eventual winner Test and Billy Kidman.

Albert continued teaming with Scotty 2 Hotty and named their tag team Zoo Crew. Albert changed his gimmick of a serious and silent enforcer to a hip-hop dancing partner to Hotty and was nicknamed "Hip Hop Hippo". Zoo Crew began a rivalry with Christian and Test, which culminated in a match between the two teams at Vengeance, which Zoo Crew won. Entering 2002, Albert participated in the 2002 Royal Rumble match as the #17 entrant. He lasted forty-eight seconds until he was eliminated by Christian and Chuck Palumbo. After the match, Albert turned on his tag team partner Scotty by delivering him a Baldo Bomb. As a result, Albert turned heel and Zoo Crew ended. After the end of Zoo Crew, Albert briefly feuded with Scotty and his career sunk down as a low-carder. In May 2002, WWF was renamed World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

On June 6 edition of SmackDown!, Albert participated in a Battle Royal to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Undisputed Championship at King of the Ring. He was eliminated by Kurt Angle.
